2023 Interim Report
NHS Fife Equality Outcomes and Mainstreaming Interim Report 2023 (PDF)
Since our first Equalities and Mainstreaming Plan in 2013, NHS Fife has continued to drive forward changes within services which aim to eliminate discrimination and improve the experiences of communities across Fife, making NHS Fife a fairer and more equitable organisation for staff and patients.
The first Equality and Mainstreaming report was published in 2013, further progress reports were published in 2015, 2019 and 2021 and at this stage the report also added two more outcomes. Work has continued and we have published our third set of outcomes which are for the period 2021-2025.
These new plans build upon our work to date and outline our commitment to making further progress towards
- (a) eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation and any other conduct that is prohibited by or under the Equality Act 2010;
- (b) advance equality of opportunity between persons who share a relevant protected characteristic and persons who do not share it;
- (c) foster good relations between persons who share a relevant protected characteristic and persons who do not share it.
In addition to these reports NHS Fife recognises that much work above and beyond the terms of the Equality act are taken forward every day by individuals, departments, and the organisation.
