On appointment, Non-Executive Board members are issued with an induction pack, containing information useful for new colleagues about NHS Fife’s governance structures, details on existing Board members and their biographies, Standing Committee Terms of Reference, the Board’s Standing Orders for the Conduct of Business, and the Code of Conduct all Non-Executive Board Members are expected to abide by.
All Board members undergo a comprehensive induction programme, completing a series of introductory meetings with key personnel across the organisation, which is detailed within the pack. The pack follows an induction template now in use across NHS Scotland, based on NHS Fife’s original model.
