People in Fife are being invited to take part in assessing the recent performance of healthcare services in the Kingdom at NHS Fife’s upcoming Annual Review.
The Annual Review offers an opportunity to look back in detail at how healthcare services in Fife performed during 2023/24, highlighting the year's achievements and where improvement plans are in place.
This year’s NHS Fife Annual Review will take place on Monday 30 September 2024 at 2pm within the Education Centre at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.
The event will be chaired by Minister for Public Health and Women’s Health, Jenni Minto, with senior members of the Scottish Government and Health and Social Care Directorate also in attendance to hear first-hand the challenges and opportunities facing NHS Fife and the actions being taken by the board to address these. The agenda of the Annual Review is set by the Scottish Government based on national standards and agreed local performance targets.
Members of the public are invited to attend the public session of the event from 2-3pm. Those wishing to attend in person can register their attendance in advance on the NHS Fife website at: www.nhsfife.org/ar.
Questions relating to healthcare services in Fife can also be submitted in advance of the session on the NHS Fife website until Friday 28 August 2024, although questions will also be taken from the floor on the day. The responses to these questions will be published on NHS Fife’s website in the weeks following the event.

“Our Annual Review gives people in Fife an opportunity to really examine our performance in detail and hold the NHS Fife Board to account for the significant public investment made in its services.
“The services we provide are relied upon by people across Fife and we want our population to play an active part in helping us to scrutinise what has worked well, along with the areas where we need to do better. Whether people are able join us in person or even submit a question in advance, we want to hear from as many people as possible about their experience of accessing our services.
“In the event that we are not able to answer all the questions on the day, we will provide responses to all questions on NHS Fife website in the weeks after the Review.
“So please join us in whatever way you can and support us in our efforts to provide the highest possible standard of healthcare services for people in Fife.”
