Due to our close relationship with NHS Lothian, many of our treatments and investigations are carried out between Fife and Lothian.

Patients will sometimes require to go to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh  for scans, endoscopic or surgical treatments.

Some oncology patients will attend both outpatient clinics, as well as the cancer treatment centre at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh also or Ninewells Hospital in Dundee. 

When you are referred to exclude cancer, you will be contacted via telephone by the Pathway Navigator in the Single Point of Contact Hub. They will introduce you to the Single Point of Contact Service and provide you with details of your first appointment and/or any other investigations and what to expect.

Contact details for the Single Point of Contact hub will be given to you when the referral has been accepted.

You will be given the opportunity to ask any questions and will be given advice about the next steps and preferred way to be contacted.

You may receive appointments from various services. The Hub is there to offer you a single point of contact for any queries you may have for any appointment that you have with each and every appointment that you are expected to attend. 

We will help you with queries you may have including changing appointments or we will signpost you to specialist services if you have any clinical concerns.

If you wish to contact the Single Point of Contact Hub you can either telephone or email the Hub. Outwith these hours there is a telephone answering service and queries will be responded to as soon as possible.

The Hub is open Monday to Friday, 08.00 to 17.00. Please note we do not work public holidays.
