The Pupil Support Nursing team work within the schools providing nursing care and support to the children, young people and their families. In addition, they provide teaching and advice to education staff to support the healthcare needs of the children and young people in school allowing them access to education and the ability to reach their full potential in school and the wider community.

Background
The service originated with one pupil support nurse (PSN) in one additional support school in Fife in the mid 1990s. It has since grown and developed, and we're delighted to currently have a team of 5 Pupil Support Nurses and a Nurse Team Leader providing an onsite nursing service to all additional support schools across Fife as required.
