Signs and symptoms of type 1 diabetes

Common Diabetes Symptoms:
- Going to the toilet a lot, especially at night.
- Being really thirsty.
- Feeling more tired than usual.
- Losing weight without trying to.
- Genital itching or thrush.
- Blurred eyesight
- Increased hunger.

Fife Diabetes Service
The Diabetes Centre at Victoria Hospital and the Carnegie Unit, Queen Margaret Hospital offer a variety of diabetes clinics, podiatry clinics and diabetic eye screening for both adults and paediatrics, as well as supporting the maternity service.
