Access to the mental health triage nurse service is via the GP receptionist, GP or another member of the Primary Health Care Team.
The MHTNS will provide experienced mental health nurses to work within GP Practices, to provide assessments of people presenting with mild to moderate mental health and wellbeing concerns, by providing a front line response, reviews and specific brief interventions.
Where indicated the person may be signposted or referred onward to a more appropriate service such as Access Therapies Fife, Better than Well, Psychology, CMHT’s or Unscheduled Care and Treatment Team.
