- Benarty Medical Practice in Lochore is operating a reduced service today 24th July, due to staff shortages.
We advise patients to contact 111 in the first instance.
These practices are still open and scheduling face-to-face appointments, however appointments are being prioritised for those with a more urgent need. Where appropriate, please consider using pharmacy, optician, or other community services.
Essential appointments
In the past 24 months, our GP practices have embraced new ways of working and have been offering a greater number of video and telephone consultations where appropriate.
However, please be assured that anyone who needs to be seen in person will be offered a face-to-face appointment – the rate of in-person consultations is now broadly in line with pre-pandemic levels. You will still need to see your GP for some face to face appointments such as follow up blood results or dressing changes, but there are there are a number of alternatives available. Please help your GP practice by checking whether another service may be more appropriate for your needs.
Whilst we do fully recognise that waiting for an appointment or a response can be frustrating, please be assured that our GPs are doing everything in their power to help and provide patients with the highest standards of care.
Finally, all GP practices across Fife we are committed to doing their utmost to support patients and provide access to the best quality primary care when needed. Please be kind and treat all surgery staff with the respect they deserve.

We remain committed to offering the right kind of care and appointments, based on the nature of your symptoms, condition, and needs. To achieve this, we are using a range of consultation options.
