Background
We have 46 GPSTs working in placements in NHS Fife hospitals as ST1s or ST2s in various specialties such as:-
Dermatology; Emergency Medicine; General Internal Medicine; General Psychiatry; Geriatric Medicine; Obstetrics & Gynaecology; Old Age Psychiatry; Ophthalmology; Otolaryngology; Paediatrics & Neonatology; Palliative Care Medicine.
GPST Core Teaching Programme
We have a bespoke GPST Core Education Programme – a series of presentations following the RCGP guidelines delivering teaching for the future GP for the hospital based trainee on Fridays 1 to 2pm. This teaching programme covers a wide range of subjects listed in the Topic Guides for Professional, Life Stages and Clinical delivered by local clinicians.

Venue: VHK Education Centre, Level 2 (towerblock), Phase 2, Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy and on MS Teams.
Attendance: Registration is taken on the TUBS iPads (remote attendees please confirm attendance via email fife.medicaleducation@nhs.scot. Feedback and certificates are also active on TUBS. Feedback is checked monthly and helps evolve the teaching.
