Who are we looking for?
The post requires the experience and knowledge to lead a team in the Learning Disabilities Psychology Service within the area-wide Fife Psychology Service. The Learning Disabilities Psychology Service is a life span service meeting the needs of children and adults with a learning disability and neurodevelopmental differences. Services are provided within inpatient settings (including forensic), multidisciplinary community teams, community residential settings and specialist neurodevelopmental assessment teams. The post requires considerable managerial, professional and clinical skills.
You will head up a well-established staff team, comprising clinical psychologists (bands 8a, 8b and 8c), clinical associates in applied psychology and psychology assistants. The team provides psychological expertise to adults and children with learning disabilities, families and to the wider Health and Social Care system through psychological therapy and interventions, neuropsychological assessment, consultancy, supervision and training. As a member of the multidisciplinary Learning Disabilities Management Team and the Child Health Management Team, you will contribute to the aims and objectives of Fife Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) and NHS Fife.
